rachel rosemarie crafts deeply poetic songs that work through the complexities of relationships, identity, living with a disability, and coming to terms with all the unknowns of modern life. rachel's guitar style is soothing and novel -- she plucks out arpeggios like a harpist among soft jazz chord voicings. Her melodies are simultaneously beautiful and unsettling, treading like a golden carp in a sea of existential dread.

If the audience at a Keith Kenny show were to close their eyes for the performance they would swear that there was a full band on stage. The audience, however, is too busy dancing to the one-man acts layered guitar riffs, foot stomping percussion, and emotionally charged lyrics to even think about looking away. In recent years he has shared the stage with the likes of Keller Williams, Leon Russell, John Hammond Jr., New Riders of the Purple Sage, The Zen Tricksters and John Kadlecik (Further & Dark Star Orchestra).

Bill & Fred's Excellent Adventure is two guys from a band called Spitune doing their version of a rock and roll acoustic duet. The covers range from Pink Floyd, Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, Doobie Brothers, Simon & Garfunkle, Jethro Tull, David Bowie, Willie Nelson, and Frank Zappa. Just to name a few. They have also been described as a comedy act. Technically not true but when these dudes get going the comedy just kind of happens. It usually involves audience members in some way. Little Flowers delivers slow musings on love and life. The debut release, Glitter, serves up four tracks that melt with wistful questions and are seasoned with nostalgic reverie and wonder. Did we make the right choice? How did we end up here? Remember what it felt like to laugh? If Glitter is an acoustic start to a brilliant career, Little Flowers' forthcoming material seals the deal with bigger arrangements and production.
